Commitment

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, 

the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, 

there is one elementary 

truth the ignorance of which kills countlessideas and splendid plans: 

that the moment one definitely commits oneself, 

then providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help 

one that would never otherwise have occurred.

A whole stream of events issues from the decision, 

raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents,

meetings and material assistance 

which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.

내맡김의 힘

마음을 다해 내맡기기까지 항상 주저함이 있고,

그 기회 뒤로 물러서는 것은 항상 효력이 없다.

시작과 창조의 모든 작용에 한가지 기본적인 진실이 있고,

(그) 무지가 수많은 이상과 눈부신 계획을 죽인다.

분명히 마음을 먹는 순간, 그때부터 하늘도 움직인다.

결심하지 않았다면 결코 생기지 않았을 온갖 일들이 일어나 돕는다.

결심으로부터 모든 일들의 흐름이 터져 나온다.

예측하지 않은 모든 종류의 사건과 만남과 물질적 원조가 유리하게 생겨나며

아무도 꿈꿀 수 없었던 일이 잘되어가리라.

할 수 있는 일이나 꿈꿀 수 있는 일이 무엇이든, 그것을 시작하라.
